If you don’t know London, like we don’t, and you fancy a few drinks, like we did last night, you might head to Candy Bar. But, BUT Tuesday night as we found out, is boys night and involves a male stripper who looks a bit like the ginger one from Corrie dancing with his muscles and licking his lips. So before we actually saw any penis we were downing the vodka and we were out of there.

So the place for lesbians on a Tuesday is the downstairs at KU. As you walk down to Ruby Tuesdays it does seem kind of like you’re going into a lesbian dungeon. But when you get in its gay girls wall to wall dancing and jumping. And a mixture of girls too, not just the samey dressed in identical chinos and identical toms and looking identical.

The music is a mixture with DJ Sandra D at the decks. You get everything from JayZ to Azeilia Banks with everyone’s favourite lesbian song guess-that-cunts-getting-eaten 212. There’s a little stage bit where the most confident girls get up and sexily show off and last night there was a lot of balloon dancing going on.

The drinks are average with 5.00 for a double vodka but then it is London and they use proper quality vodka so really I’d rather pay that then drink something that tastes like bin juice mixed with lemon fabreeze. They do have their own little offers of a double sours and mixer for £2 which is like drinking sweets it’s amazing. They also offer a shot called the Candy Nipple but I could not tell you what was in it. I’m sure baileys plays a part because I woke up this morning with the confusing taste of milkshake.

Everyone is really friendly and a lot of people seemed to know I was new there so I guess it’s a everyone knows everyone type of place. It’s free entry and with an ace atmosphere like Rubys it would be silly not to give it a try. And find yourself dancing with a lovely Slovakian lady called Ethel to Flo Rider’s low and seeing in fact she does have on the boots with the fur.
