Festive Party

So another party for you now gang. The day after G3 Pm is Lfestive. Lesbian parties are just like buses, you wait for ages and all that.

LFestive

Lfest was one of the best weekends of the summer this year. And to not have to wait a while year to recreate some of it is the best lesbian news ever. So it’s happening on the first of December in the Nightingale in Birmingham and it’s not just a night thing, because the doors open at midday so you can go and play early. And eating some sort of donut and drinking a shot of baileys for breakfast  will make you feel like you’re in the festival again.

As for the performers of course there’s the finest performing. Horse will be playing as well as Grey Matter who will no doubt cover some Christmassy songs. And because it’s the start of the month you’ll get all excited listening to some festive music. As opposed to the middle of the month when you’ve heard the Slade song 378 times and you have fantasies of killing Wizard with a tub of marmite.

Barcode zebra will also be taking to the stage and so you can do that singing your face your off, waving your hands about in the air with a lighter thing. But you know, without the lighter because that’s not allowed. JOANovARC is another glorious band who will be performing and of course The L Project will be singing their hearts out with their charity single. The last time I saw The L Project was at Bangor Pride, which happens to be my home town, and it happened to be my birthday, and I happened to have quite a few many lots of tequilas.

What’s amaze about this is that you can dress up in all your glittery finest. If you saw a girl that you fancied in Lfest but didn’t want to introduce yourself because you were wearing mud covered dungarees, you had jam and sugar on your chin and your hair smelt of wet cat, but then she ends up in Lfestive too you’ll be looking all hot and can swagger over there.

So that’s not everything either, the Lfest crew have the whole three floors so upstairs will be the fun section showing a film, an open mic, and a festive tea dance which makes me think of women dressed in puffed up skirts skipping around with umbrellas and pots of cream. And there’s comedy too from Annette Fagon and a big Christmas Market which means all the shopping you could need for your loved ones. So really, you should think of this night as sorting your life out for Christmas and having a fabulous time.

There’s party games galore and even speed dating which is hilarious if you have never tried it. Best question I ever got was how many cats I wanted in the future. DJ’s Lady Heidi & Carly T will be there all day and you get to come and go as you please until 4am and move around from room to room. Like a little lesbian yoyo.

Tickets cost £20
